    Height exceeds 13'6" — single-trip permit required
  • Width
    Width exceeds 8'6" — single-trip permit required
  • Length
    Length exceeds 65' — single-trip permit required
  • Weight
    Gross weight exceeds 80,000 lbs — overweight permit required
  • Height
    Height exceeds 14' — route survey mandatory
  • Width
    Width exceeds 14' — escort and route survey required

Fee notes

Single-trip $40 base + $0.05–$0.30/mile overweight surcharge (17 NYCRR Part 154, by excess weight). Annual divisible-load permit $360. Superload (>14 ft H, >16 ft W, >200,000 lbs) requires NYSDOT structural review at $500–$3,000.
