    Gross weight exceeds 80,000 lbs — overweight permit required
  • Width
    Width exceeds 14'6" — route survey required (ITAP submission)
  • Height
    Height exceeds 15' — route survey required
  • Weight
    Gross weight exceeds 120,000 lbs — special route analysis required

Fee notes

Single-trip $25 base. Annual $500. Overweight tiers add $25–$1,500 based on weight bracket. ITAP superloads (>14.5 ft wide, >250,000 lbs GVW) require IDOT engineering analysis, typically $1,000–$3,000.
