Route survey triggers
- HeightHeight exceeds 4.15 m (13.6 ft) โ permit required
- WidthWidth exceeds 2.6 m (8.5 ft) โ permit required
- LengthLength exceeds 23.0 m (75.5 ft) โ permit required
- WeightGVW exceeds 63,500 kg (140,000 lbs) โ overweight permit required
- WidthWidth exceeds 5.0 m (16.4 ft) โ Annual Oversize route survey required
- HeightHeight exceeds 5.0 m (16.4 ft) โ route survey required
- WeightGVW exceeds 140,000 kg (308,650 lbs) โ OSOW Level 3 engineering review
Fee notes
Single-trip C$120; Annual Oversize Permit C$500. Annual Overweight C$1,000+ by axle config. Engineering reviews for superloads (>5 m wide, >63,500 kg) start at C$1,000โC$5,000 via MTO Bridge Office.
