  • Width
    Width exceeds 2.6 m (8.5 ft) — special permit required
  • Length
    Length exceeds 25.0 m (82.0 ft) — special permit required
  • Weight
    GVW exceeds 63,500 kg (140,000 lbs) — overweight permit required
  • Width
    Width exceeds 5.0 m (16.4 ft) — route survey required
  • Height
    Height exceeds 5.0 m (16.4 ft) — route survey required
  • Weight
    GVW exceeds 140,000 kg (308,650 lbs) — engineering analysis required

Fee notes

Single-trip C$25 base. Annual TRAVIS permit C$700. Overweight C$0.06/tonne-km surcharge. Superload (>5 m wide, >63,500 kg) requires Alberta Transportation engineering review at C$500+.
