The shared map (Client Delivery Portal) is more than a sharing feature — it is a professional deliverable that communicates the quality and depth of your route intelligence work to clients.
Positioning the Shared Map
Do not present the shared map as "here is a link to your data." Present it as:
*"Your route intelligence package is available here. You can explore the full route, review every documented constraint with field measurements and photos, and navigate the corridor as if you were there."*
This positioning shifts the client's perception of the deliverable from "I got a link" to "I received a professional, interactive intelligence package."
Before You Share
- Ensure all critical POIs have photos and measurement data
- Review POI names and notes for client-facing clarity
- Set appropriate visibility: hide internal planning notes if present
- Verify the grade profile is generated and accurate
- Confirm the constraint summary reflects the current data
In Your Proposal or Report
Include the Client Delivery Portal link as a named deliverable in your proposal or engagement letter. Frame it as:
*"Route Intelligence Package: Interactive Client Delivery Portal (valid for [duration])"*
This makes it a contractual deliverable rather than a bonus feature.
Client Onboarding
When sharing the link, include a brief note explaining what the client can do with it:
- Navigate the route map
- Click POIs to see field documentation
- Review the constraint summary
- Share the link with their own stakeholders
Many clients have never used this type of deliverable. A one-paragraph explanation drives significantly higher engagement.
After Delivery
Monitor whether the Portal link has been accessed. Follow up with clients who haven't opened it — this is often an opportunity to walk them through the platform and reinforce the value of your work.
