Auto-Routing Readiness Checklist

Auto-Routing Readiness Checklist

Before enabling automated route suggestions, ensure your survey data meets coverage, density, and validation requirements.

Key Points

Automated route suggestions are only as good as the underlying survey data. Before enabling auto-routing features, verify that your constraint database meets these readiness criteria.

Coverage Requirements

**Route Segment Coverage** — Every segment of potential routes must have survey data. Gaps in coverage create blind spots where the system cannot evaluate feasibility.

**Constraint Categories** — All relevant constraint types must be documented: vertical clearances, horizontal restrictions, grade conditions, and regulatory limitations.

Data Density

**Clearance Intervals** — Vertical clearances should be documented at least every 1/4 mile and at every potential restriction point (bridges, overpasses, utilities).

**Turn Analysis Points** — Complex intersections require multiple measurement points to evaluate turning feasibility.

Validation Checklist

Confidence Scoring

RoadScope assigns confidence scores to route segments based on data quality and recency. Auto-routing only suggests segments that meet minimum confidence thresholds.

Maintaining Readiness

Auto-routing readiness is not a one-time achievement. Establish re-survey schedules, monitor data currency, and update constraint records when conditions change.
