Permit Application Auto-Fill takes the data you have already captured in RoadScope — the route, the load envelope, the equipment configuration, and the carrier details — and pre-populates the appropriate jurisdictional permit application for you.
Supported Application Types
Auto-fill templates are maintained for the most common North American OS/OW permit applications, including state DOT single-trip permits, multi-state corridor permits, and provincial transport permits. Templates surface automatically based on route geography.
Generating an Application
- Open the route you want to permit
- Choose Generate Permit Application from the Routes menu
- Select the issuing jurisdiction and application type
- RoadScope fills the form using your route, load, equipment, and carrier records
- Review the populated fields, fill any remaining jurisdiction-specific fields, and export as PDF
Carrier & Equipment Profiles
Save your carrier details and tractor/trailer configurations once in the Equipment library. Auto-fill pulls from these profiles on every future application.
Versioning
Each generated application is saved into the Document Hub with a version label (V01, V02, V03…) so revisions and resubmissions are tracked alongside the rest of the project.

Auto-fill produces a strong starting point but is not a substitute for jurisdictional review. Always verify every field against the issuing authority's current requirements before submission.
