Shared Map Advanced POI Filter

How recipients of a shared map can filter POIs by type, dimension, and height clearance to focus on what matters for their load.

What Is the Advanced POI Filter?

The Advanced POI Filter is a recipient-side tool on the Client Delivery Portal shared map. It lets the person viewing your shared map โ€” a client, a permit office, a driver โ€” filter the visible POIs without requiring any help from you.

Filter Options

  • **Type chips** โ€” Toggle individual POI types (Bridges, Utilities, Signs, Crossings, etc.) on and off
  • **Filter presets** โ€” Saved combinations for common scenarios (e.g., "Show only clearances below 16 ft")
  • **Dimension range sliders** โ€” Filter by documented height, width, or weight range
  • Header Height-Clearance Banner

A prominent banner input at the top of the shared map lets the recipient type in their load height. When a value is entered, RoadScope highlights every POI where the documented clearance is below (or within 12 inches of) that height โ€” instantly showing the clearance conflicts for their specific load.

    Photo Thumbnails in POI Popups

When you have attached photos to a POI, the shared map popup now shows a thumbnail of the primary photo alongside the measurement data. Recipients can click the thumbnail to see the full photo.

    Key Findings & Notes Overlay

Use Edit Shared Map > Key Findings in your workspace to add an editorial highlight panel. Each finding has a title, a short note, and a map pin. Recipients see the Key Findings panel when they open the link โ€” useful for directing their attention to the most important constraints before they explore the full map.

    Markdown in the Sidebar Description

The shared map sidebar description field now renders Markdown. Use headers (##), bold (text), bullet lists, and links to structure a richer client briefing directly in the shared map interface.
