OS/OW Project Management

Timelines, milestones, and deliverable tracking for complex OS/OW operations.

Why OS/OW Projects Need Structured PM

An OS/OW project is more than a map and a report. It involves permit applications to multiple authorities, coordination across survey teams, engineering review cycles, and client approval milestones โ€” often running in parallel over weeks or months. The OS/OW PM system keeps all of this organized within the same tool you use to manage the route data.

Creating an OS/OW Project

From the dashboard, click New OS/OW Project and enter the project name, client, expected move date, and jurisdiction list. RoadScope creates a project workspace with the PM timeline and connects it to your route surveys.

Project Timeline

The timeline view shows each phase of the project โ€” Pre-Survey, Field Survey, Report Preparation, Permit Submission, and Move Execution โ€” as a horizontal bar with start/end dates. Milestones are pinned to the timeline at critical dates: permit application deadline, engineering letter due date, scheduled move date.

Deliverable Tracker

Every required output is listed in the Deliverable Tracker with:

  • **Owner** โ€” Who is responsible for producing or submitting the deliverable
  • **Due Date** โ€” When it is required
  • **Status** โ€” Pending, In Review, Complete, or Blocked
  • **Link** โ€” Direct link to the generated artifact in the Document Hub
  • Milestone Notifications

RoadScope sends email reminders when a milestone is approaching (7 days and 1 day before). Overdue milestones surface as red indicators on the timeline and as alerts on the admin system-health tile.

    Linking to Route Surveys

Each OS/OW PM project can be linked to one or more RoadScope route surveys. Route updates, new POIs, and generated reports are reflected in the deliverable tracker automatically.
