What Is the Driver Briefing PDF?

The Driver Briefing PDF is a formatted, field-ready document designed to be handed to the transport driver before departure. It summarizes the route, flags critical constraints, and provides turn-by-turn hazard notes with turn-direction indicators.

Generating a Driver Briefing

From the project Reports panel, select Driver Briefing PDF. Configure the content:

  • Load dimensions to check against (height, width, weight)
  • Which POI categories to include as warnings
  • Map pages to include (auto-generated from route segments)
  • Driver and convoy contact information

    • Document Structure

    The generated PDF includes:

  • Route overview map with the full path
  • Critical constraint summary (clearances below load envelope)
  • Sequential hazard log with distances, turn directions, and descriptions
  • Per-segment map images with POI callouts
  • Emergency and permit reference contacts

    • Integration with SolTecNAV

    Driver Briefing data is also exported to SolTecNAV format for in-cab navigation. The driver's navigation device shows the same constraint warnings at the correct geographic positions as they drive the route.

    Print-Ready Output

    The PDF is formatted for A4 or Letter size printing, with clear headings, high-contrast icons, and large enough text for field reading.
