Cross-Border Distance Units
RoadScope supports both miles and kilometres for distance display across the platform. Carriers running cross-border lanes can switch units to match the convention of the jurisdiction they are operating in or the preference of the receiving client.
Where to Set It
Open **Settings > Workspace Preferences > Units** and pick **Miles** or **Kilometres**. The setting applies to your user account and takes effect immediately across the map, route summaries, reports, Driver Briefings, and the Client Delivery Portal.
What Changes
- Route distances and segment lengths
- Speed displays in NAV
- Distance columns in exports and reports
- Distance fields in the permit auto-fill output
What Does Not Change
Clearance heights, widths, and weights are governed by their own unit settings (feet/inches vs. metres; pounds vs. kilograms). Set those independently under the same Units panel.
Per-Deliverable Override
When generating a Driver Briefing or Client Delivery Portal link, you can override the workspace unit just for that deliverable — useful when a specific client has a fixed convention that differs from your workspace default.
