What Is the Camera-Bridge Service?

The Camera-Bridge is a lightweight Windows service that handles the connection between your 360° camera and RoadScope. It manages frame capture, GPS timestamping, and upload to your project.

System Requirements

  • Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)
  • USB 3.0 port for camera connection
  • Active internet connection (for upload)
  • RoadScope account with 360° Street View enabled
  • Installation

    1. Download the Camera-Bridge installer from your RoadScope account under Settings > Hardware Integrations

    2. Run the installer as Administrator

    3. Enter your RoadScope API key when prompted

    4. The service installs and starts automatically

    Configuring Capture Settings

Open the Camera-Bridge configuration panel from the system tray icon:

  • **Capture interval** — Frames per second or meters between captures (recommended: 5m intervals)
  • **Camera model** — Select your connected camera for optimal settings
  • **GPS source** — Use camera GPS (if available) or Windows GPS device
  • Testing the Connection

With the camera connected and service running, open RoadScope in your browser. Navigate to a project and look for the Camera-Bridge status indicator — green means ready to capture.
