Acceptable Use Policy

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) governs your use of RoadScope services. By using RoadScope, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

2. Permitted Use

RoadScope is designed for: (a) Route planning and analysis for oversize/overweight transportation; (b) Field survey data collection and management; (c) Professional reporting and documentation; (d) Collaboration between authorized team members; (e) Regulatory research and permit preparation support.

3. Prohibited Use

You may NOT use RoadScope to: (a) Conduct illegal activities or transport illegal materials; (b) Bypass permit requirements or regulatory compliance; (c) Misrepresent RoadScope outputs as official regulatory approval; (d) Rely solely on RoadScope without independent field verification; (e) Operate autonomously without human oversight and verification; (f) Access or scrape data without authorization; (g) Reverse engineer or copy platform functionality; (h) Share account credentials or allow unauthorized access; (i) Upload malicious content or attempt security exploits; (j) Resell or redistribute service access without written permission.

4. Data Quality Responsibility

Users are responsible for: (a) Verifying the accuracy of data they input; (b) Confirming field conditions before transport operations; (c) Maintaining current and accurate survey data; (d) Reporting data discrepancies or errors; (e) Not relying on outdated information for critical decisions.

5. Decision Support Only

RoadScope is a decision-support tool, NOT a regulatory authority. RoadScope does NOT: (a) Approve or deny routes; (b) Issue permits or regulatory approvals; (c) Replace professional engineering judgment; (d) Guarantee route feasibility or safety; (e) Accept liability for transport outcomes. All route decisions and regulatory compliance remain the sole responsibility of the user.

6. API and Integration Usage

API access is subject to: (a) Rate limits as defined in your subscription tier; (b) Attribution requirements for derived works; (c) Prohibition on reselling raw data access; (d) Security requirements for API key management; (e) Compliance with all terms of service.

7. Policy Violations

Violations of this policy may result in: (a) Warning and request for corrective action; (b) Temporary suspension of account access; (c) Permanent termination of account; (d) Legal action for serious violations; (e) Reporting to relevant authorities if required by law. RoadScope reserves the right to take action at its discretion.

8. Reporting Violations

To report suspected policy violations or security concerns, contact abuse@roadscope.app or security@roadscope.app. We investigate all reports promptly and confidentially.
