RoadScope Certified Route Planner

(RCRP)

To recognize individuals who can professionally plan, survey, analyze, validate, and document OS/OW routes according to the RoadScope Standard.

Certification Levels

Level 1

Associate

RCRP-A

Entry-level certification demonstrating foundational knowledge.

Professional-level certification for practicing route planners.

Professional Exam

Format: Case study based

Style: Open-book

Exam Parts:

  1. Analyze a load and select corridors
  2. Identify constraints from sample data
  3. Produce a route summary and defend it

Pass/Fail Criteria:

  • Correct identification
  • Quality of reasoning
  • Clarity of documentation

Renewal

Every 2 years:

  • Short update module
  • Declaration of continued practice
  • Optional retest if standards change

Governance

RoadScope Standards Committee

Maintain and update the Standard, review incidents, approve certification criteria, ensure neutrality and credibility.

Members: RoadScope representative, Consultant, Carrier, Engineer, Authority observer (future)
